The Beginner Bodyweight Workout

  1. Squats: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out. Bend your knees and hips to lower your butt back and down, as if you're sitting in a chair. Make sure your knees stay behind your toes. Aim for 10-15 reps.
  2. Push-ups: Start in a high plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders. Bend your elbows to lower your chest towards the ground, then push back up. If full push-ups are too challenging, try modified push-ups on your knees. Aim for 8-12 reps.
  3. Lunges: Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Step forward with one leg, bending both knees to lower your hips. Push back to the starting position, then repeat with the other leg. Aim for 10-12 reps per leg.
  4. Planks: Get into a high plank position, supporting your body on your hands and toes. Engage your core by keeping your body in a straight line from head to heels. Hold for 30-60 seconds.
  5. Bridges: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Lift your hips off the ground, forming a straight line from your knees to your shoulders. Hold for 2 seconds, then lower back down. Aim for 12-15 reps.

Remember, the key to success is consistency. Start with these exercises 2-3 times per week, and gradually increase the intensity and duration as you get stronger. Before you know it, you'll be on your way to a fitter, healthier you!
